Government Wide Point of Entry for Federal Procurement Opportunities
The National Defense Authorization Act for FY 1998, Section 850, requires, in part, that any notice of agency requirements or notice of a solicitation for contract opportunities be provided through a single, Government wide point of entry. Effective 1 October 2001, Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) will be the electronic government wide entry point for information on government contracts over $25,000 . The FedBiz Opps website can be found at http://www.fedbizopps.gov
Vendors may now register online with FedBizOpps (FBO) as an "interested vendor" for a specific solicitation. To register, access the FBO site, search for and retrieve the specific solicitation and select Register As Interested Vendor. This capability allows buyers to review and publish an interested vendors list online to facilitate team building and vendor collaboration.
